Dynamics 365 CRM Mailboxes

Mailboxes are one of the essential components when it comes to tracking emails in Outlook, sending notification or approval emails & also in managing queues.

When you move to Settings > Systems > Email Configuration > Mailboxes; you will see there are some active mailboxes already. These are active users in Active Directory however, you have still not enabled their mailboxes from Dynamics CRM point of view.

Let us first do a default setting to all mailboxes. For this, select the active mailboxes on which you want to apply this setting & then click on ‘Apply Default Email Settings’. Verify settings and click ok.

Let us now enable one of the Active Mailbox. To update settings, you need to be a System Administrator. But for testing & enabling mailbox as well as Approve mailbox, you must be an O365 Global Administrator.

Configuration Test Results section will be updated as soon as you test your mailbox and its ready to use. You can move to the alert section from the left navigation pane. In case of any errors, you will see details about it.
