Microsoft Dynamics GP U.S. Year-End Update 2022 RELEASED!!

The 2022 - U.S. Year-End update has released for Microsoft Dynamics GP!!

As a reminder, these updates are ALL inclusive of prior patches.  This is especially important for GP as it will include the October 2022 release (18.5) so make sure you test your upgrade, customizations, 3rd party/ISV solutions and business process to verify everything is working as it should.

You can install this update at any time (yes even NOW) when you are ready, this is why we release early to give you ample time to install and test the update with your environment.

Below is a list of changes in this update.  We do recommend customers to install this update based on the required year end changes and quality report fixes below.

There are NO table changes in this update, just fixes for the product and regulatory updates.

***NOTE***

If you use Web Services or Web Client with Dynamics GP and you install the US year end update which includes the 18.5 release, you need to also update each of these products.

Microsoft Dynamics GP (version18.5.1596) (Includes October release 18.5.1556)

The below items have been changed in this update:

Multiple Final approval emails for system approved 'No Action Needed' workflows are sending when continue to next step feature is used an no action is required

Multiple fixes to the Stock Count import feature that was added in 18.3. 
- Stock count import only populates the first line accurately in Dynamics GP if Multi-bin functionality is enabled and an item with more than one Bin is included in the count
- Stock Count Import does not bring in the counted quantity correctly if the same lot number is listed more than once for the item.

Regulatory / Year-End specific changes:

Fixed Asset Luxury Auto Depreciation changes.
Payables 1099-NEC (3-part form), 1099-MISC, 1099-DIV, 1099-INT, form changes (Add 2-digit year to print on forms)
1099-MISC and 1099-DIV additional field level changes/alignments
ACA 1095-C form change (instructional)


Notes:

Microsoft Dynamics GP Human Resource and Payroll Suite Announcement
This update is all inclusive of prior updates for Microsoft Dynamics GP. This means it will include 18.2, 18.3, 18.4 and yep you guessed it, 18.5.
There is no 2022 year-end update for Microsoft Dynamics GP 2016.
Reminder, with the18.5 feature, you can print the 1099-NEC form with LINES!!

If you applied the 2022 US year end update that includes the 18.5 release and now on some of your customized / modified reports you may receive this error message:
Calculated field, "Inactive Address Footer Message"

This is happening due to a table change we made with a feature in 18.5 around the Vendor Address

What we would recommend is to print the original of this report and it will work fine for you. This is happening due to the modified version of the report you are printing.

Due to these table changes, the report upgrade process does not fix this issue automatically for you, the easiest way is to print the original report and if you need to make modifications again to their report based on what they have, you can.

You can also try to take the report package of just this custom report and import it into the 18.5 dictionary and it may wok, depending on your modifications and version you upgraded from.
