Prior to Release 2020 Wave 1, when user searched a view, the result is shown as per Quick Find View configuration. In other words, user is redirected from the current view to the Quick Find view.

For some, this wasn’t a good user experience, furthermore, search is restricted to the columns selected as Find columns. The other columns are not searched (unless added to Find Columns).

However, in Release 2020 Wave 1, an awesome feature is introduced “Search this view“. This feature allows user to search the current view. This feature does not depend on the Quick Find view.
