Managing and Closing Windows and Forms in Dynamics AX

The “Select Window” form in Microsoft Dynamics AX allows users with multiple forms and workspaces to conveniently and functionally manage all of their open forms by displaying, in a list, the windows that can be directly navigated to.

To easily make use of this feature, press ‘ALT’ +’W’

Closing Windows

Tip:  From an open AX form, close the current form with a quick shortcut: ‘Alt’ +’ ‘F4’.  You can also (of course) use the “X” in the top right corner of each form.

To ensure you are properly exiting Dynamics AX,  after pressing  ‘ALT’ +’W’, navigate to the top right “Windows” icon and select “close all”.  All open Dynamics AX forms will exit, and the Dynamics AX session will then close.
