Adjusting Form Columns in Dynamics CRM

When customizing Microsoft Dynamics CRM forms, you may find a need to have different numbers of columns as well as different column widths. This could be for any number of reasons but let’s walk through how to resize and change the number of columns that will be on the form.

The step to this is to open the form that you want to modify. To do this you will go to Settings->Customizations->Customize the System.

Once you have opened the solution find the entity that you want to edit by going clicking the carrot to open the Entities and find the form within the Entity of your choosing.

Once you are in the form you will notice that by default the middle section is the largest. To change this you will click on Change Properties on the header bar. Once the Tab Properties pop up comes up click on Formatting.

Once you are on the Formatting screen you can that from here you can change your forms column configuration including number of columns and width of each column.
