How to Delete Views You’ve Created that are No Longer Relevant in Microsoft Dynamics 365/CRM

Creating custom views in Microsoft Dynamics 365/CRM is not only a great feature but an efficient time-saver for many users.
But, what do you do with those custom views when they become outdated and no longer relevant? There’s no need to let them sit in the view graveyard.
Use this simple guide to keep your instance of Microsoft Dynamics 365/CRM clean by deleting those old, no longer used views in just a few steps.
- Go to Settings
- Go to Customizations
- Click on Customize the system

- Go to the entity for the view that is no longer needed
- Click views in the entity
- Select the view you want to remove or delete
- Click the delete button

- It will ask you to confirm deletion of the view. Once deleted it cannot be undone. If you are unsure if you will need the view in the future, deactivation should likely be done instead of deletion.
- You may get a pop up if you try to delete a view that is managed or used in other areas of CRM.
- Do not forget to publish your customizations to remove the view(s) from the areas that display it

- Once deleted the view will no longer show in the views in CRM or in the Entity Views list
