[Enhancement] Refresh entity list has been refactored in MSD365 Finance and Operations

Welcome to my next blog on unboxing new features in 10.0.29 version on Data Management segment.

This feature is about “Refresh entity list has been refactored so that it always run in a batch.”

Current design

The below screen shot is from 10.0.28 and below version.

Its is very common in any implementation project we often need to refresh the data entity list to publish and use the custom entity or standard entity sometime, as a result we need to use the below parameter from Data Management ->> Data import/export framework parameters->> Entity settings->> refresh entity list

Previously while refreshing entity lit, there was a background process, which used to refresh the list and there was no notification or indication that the entity list was refreshed successfully or not.

Enhanced design and solution in 10.0.29

Now the process has been enhanced and this refresh activity will be done by batch, as a result we shall have the overview and log if and when the entity has been refreshed successfully.

Keynote- This is enabled by default from 10.0.29 version; no separate Feature needs to be enabled from feature management.
