In its recent Statement of Direction (SOD) document for Microsoft Dynamics NAV, the company lays out its plans for the product over the next few years, which it says will focus on five basic values: simplicity; productivity; continuously take advantage of Microsoft technology; user experience leadership; and rapid time-to-value.

Microsoft said the document (customers can download it here) is intended to update customers and partners about its strategy for Microsoft Dynamics NAV and the specific product roadmap for the next major release, Microsoft Dynamics NAV "7", as well as the initiatives planned for NAV "8" and NAV "9".
