It's easy to pick a Vera Bradley handbag out in a crowd. The brand has been offering its distinctive handbags and luggage since 1982, growing from a wholesale only business to over 140 retail stores and a thriving ecommerce business. Of course, this growth didn't come without challenges. Running on multiple legacy systems, the brand needed to unify their business on a single, end-to-end platform.
Vera Bradley partnered with Sunrise Technologies to Dynamics 365 Finance, Supply Chain Management, and Commerce in 2019 with a go live nearly 13 months later in the middle of the pandemic. The new system was central to the brand being able to weather lockdowns and store closures, as ecommerce sales skyrocketed almost overnight. Vera Bradley was able to easily adapt to this new demand and shift inventory across channels. In fact, Vera Bradley's digital business grew nearly 50% YoY in 2020 , supported by Dynamics 365.
The organization was so pleased during their ERP project, that they decided to continue their engagement with Sunrise and implement Dynamics 365 Sales and Customer Service. This allowed Vera Bradley to reduce the number of systems needed to service customers and reduce legacy technical debts. Today Vera Bradley continues to thrive and innovate with Dynamics.
