Unable to Browse List Pages in EP when running SharePoint 2010 with Windows Server 2008 R2 (64 Bit)

Problem:
Unable to browse the customer list page (and other list pages) in Enterprise Portal (EP) when running SharePoint 2010 with Windows Server 2008 R2 (64 Bit) and the user is not added to the local administrator group on the SharePoint server.

Scenario:
When a user is created and added into the admin group in Dynamics AX, the list pages cannot be browsed in EP using the newly created user’s credentials. The problem does not appear when user is added to administrator group on the SharePoint server

Resolution:
Define environmental variable AXTMP or AXTEMP with the temporary path (e.g. C:\temp) and ensure full permissions are granted for each user accessing EP on that folder for the Dynamics AX temporary files.
