The Lead Notification Workflow in Microsoft Dynamics 365 ensures the process of working through Lead Qualification and that it is not interrupted or lost as assignments occur.
This workflow sends an email when a Lead is Created and assigned to another User.
Salespeople especially benefit from this workflow. You only need a user-level knowledge to set this up.
Follow these steps to set up the Lead Notification Workflow in Microsoft Dynamics 365:
1. Trigger: Record is Created

2. Click “Select this row and click Add Step” and click Add Step > Check Condition

3. Click (click to configure)

4. Add Filter for Lead Owner does not equal Lead Created By. Save and Close.

5. Click “Select this row and click Add Step” and click Add Step > Send Email

6. Click Set Properties and set properties as desired. Save and Close.

EXAMPLE:

7. Click the word “If” in the Check Condition and click Add Step. Select Default Action.

8. Click “Select this row and click Add Step” and click Add Step > Stop Workflow*
*This tells the Workflow to stop if the Owner DOES equal the Created By.

9. Activate Workflow
That’s it – you’re done!
