Product review of Aspose Email

My company is Nityo 3P Solutions Pte Ltd, a Microsoft Gold Partner for Microsoft Dynamics CRM. We have implemented several projects successfully for various clients in the Retail, Entertainment, Gaming, Services, Education and Government agencies.

After evaluating many open source solutions for formats conversion and encounter with so many problems not only with implementations but also with the quality of the output files.

We decided to use Aspose Email for .NET framework as part of our solution for the past four years and would like to share this review on this product.

Aspose Email for .NET is a set of Email Processing APIs that can used with .NET Framework to enable us to build cross-platform applications wintith the ability to create, manipulate, convert and transmit emails without using Microsoft Outlook. Aspose Email for .NET allows us to manage message storage files such as Personal Storage Files (PST) & Offline Storage Files (OST). We can also use the API to transmit messages via a number of popular protocols like POP3, IMAP & SMTP or connect with Microsoft Exchange Server Exchange Web Services to send and receive emails with attachments.

On one of our projects using Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 platform mainly for Case management, Contact management and Event management, we use Aspose Email dll to extract email contents such as email message body, email subject and list of recipients from a forwarded email with attachments. The extracted emails is integrated with CRM and it would allow users to open and view the forwarded email attachment content without any issues.

Integrating Aspose dll into c# is fairly easy. It does not cause any conflicts and works well as expected.

Also, Aspose has a complete Microsoft Office library and is very useful to add some flexibility and functionality to our web application. Your mileage will vary depending on the methods used to process documents in regards to integrating their library, but they are functionality complete and the documentation is an integral part of the provided product.

I highly recommend the Aspose product family. It covers almost any need and feature one can have related to documents The company seems to be delivering constant updates and keeping in time with the rest of the technology world (by looking at their twitter feed and newsletters). But the biggest point is the time savings for my project, having just one set of APIs to relate to, makes this a money saver for me.
