I Passed MB-210 & Here Is What You Should Know About the New Certification

Hi everyone!

I recently obtained the confirmation from Microsoft that I passed the MB-210 (Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Sales) examination. I actually passed the examination in beta, in February. Here is what you should know about the new examination.

Microsoft Is Enforcing a Soft Prerequisite

Microsoft is now asking questions related to configuration, including some security model questions. The level of these questions and the lack of coverage in the MB-210 official material is made in such a way that it makes it nearly impossible for someone to pass MB-210 before passing MB-210 (Microsoft Dynamics 365 core). Do yourself a favour and pass MB-200 right before passing MB-210. Both examinations are required for the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales Functional Consultant Associate.

The Exam Format Has Changed Significantly

Without breaking NDA, the number of questions has increased significantly, there are different questions type and some topics that were not covered in the previous version of this examination are. The changes are significant enough that using any MB2-717 material is virtually useless. This exam is not a cosmetic remake. If you ask me any further questions about the changes, I cannot unfortunately answer them.

Microsoft Really Wants You to Know The New Functionality

As Microsoft is launching new features constantly, they are making sure that you can implement playbooks, Sales AI and the LinkedIn Sales Navigator efficiently and become a product champion. You should expect to really know these products inside out.

If you have any further questions (other than changes to the examination format), feel free to comment below! I will be happy to answer them.
