**New link for KB articles**

Cheryl Waswick Profile Picture Cheryl Waswick Microsoft Employee

Hi Dynamics users,

Many of you know that our content database was under construction in January, and we apologize if you experienced any frustration during this time of transition.  We are happy to report that the migration is now complete, links have been updated, and so the KB article links should be working for you again.  One benefit is a new link you can use to launch directly to the KB article as illustrated below, so it provides a new way for you to view an article.  You can search for an article using one of these 3 methods:

  • using Knowledgebase in PartnerSource or CustomerSource using key words or KB numbers
  • out on the internet (Bing, etc.) using key words or KB numbers
  • or if you know the KB number, just insert it in the direct link below:

http://support.microsoft.com/help/xxxxxx

---replace the xxxxxx placeholder with the KB number*

NOTES:

-This link can be applied to all KB numbers for all Microsoft Dynamics product lines

-Keep in mind that any KB articles you have bookmarked will likely need to be re-bookmarked with the new link.

-*As part of the transition, outdated content or rarely used content (i.e. no page views in recent years) was archived to improve the quality of your search results.  Because of this, it is possible you may not find older KB articles even using the new link above.

-If you click on an embedded link on a page in PartnerSource or CustomerSource, or within a KB article and it does not work for a Dynamics product, please include the URL to the page and the KB number and post a comment on this blog so I can investigate it for you.

I hope this information will help you to find KB articles faster and the new link will be a great new tool for you to access content.

Thank you!

Cheryl Waswick
