Power Platform | Wrapping up 2020

Carsten Groth mscrm Profile Picture Carsten Groth mscrm 2,085

So this is it! Another year is over, a different one – of course. And while I was watching TV showing 2020 in review and those were full of pandemic topic, I asked myself of how I should wrap up this year? Looking at stats and doing some analysis on numbers?

Well, instead of looking at my travel & hotel bonus account programs, showing only 2 flights and 6 hotel stays in summary for this year, I decided to review my blog posts, tweets, virtual summit notes, goals and achievements and create something special – something positive and optimistic looking into next year.

Power Platform – 2020 in a nutshell (Power BI)

I started creating a matrix summary that pretty fast came to a point, I needed to split content into buckets. So above, you do find major achievements and goals for Power BI in 2020. Can you imagine of how many of them would be needed to mention? In fact, I needed to focus on only a couple of them for each month.

Power Platform – 2020 in a nutshell (Power Apps)

And guess what? The Power Apps bucket looks impressive as well. Look at all these fantastic goals and achievements that I was able to introduce and train my community on. Spent endless hours in terms of learning and being ready for your questions. But of course it didn´t stop there.

Power Platform – 2020 in a nutshell (Power Automate)

Here are some major milestones for Power Automate – and again, I needed to shrink the list of topics to help you understand this visual. Looking at all of them and knowing how much fun it was to introduce those features and capabilities to my community makes the pandemic an easy challenge to deal with.

Power Platform – 2020 in a nutshell (Power Virtual Agents)

And to finalize on our four main buckets inside the Power Platform, please find the impressive list of Power Virtual Agents unlocked achievements above. Now you might understand that merging all of them into a single slide became a challenge rapidly. But again, look at this fantastic and massive list of improvements, achievements and goals that we – together – were able to achieve even due pandemic time. Many of them, in fact, helped fighting situations that occured due to COVID-19.

I feel grateful for working with an awesome, smart and talented community in the Power Platform ecosystem. Every hour spent on Zoom, WebEx, Microsoft Teams & Co., every smile I got as a feedback from those being new starters with a low-code system, every hug and conversation we missed during lockdown phases – together, we grew even stronger.

If all of above achievements can be unlocked in tough times, imagine what it looks like returning to normal. Until then, …

Happy New Year, folks
