One the requirements to have a D365 for Financials extension put on AppSource is "Permission set(s) must be created by your extension and when marked, should give the user all setup and usage abilities. A user must not be required to have SUPER permissions for setup and usage of your extension".
Does anyone know how to do this? I can't seem to find a way to create a permission set through the extension.
Thanks for your help.
Create the permission set in a local Dynamics 365/NAV environment. Then export the permission set using documentation on a powershell cmdlet for exporting permission sets at the following link.
The result of running the cmdlet is an xml file. You will then copy this xml file into your Visual Studio Code extension folder. The next compile will identify the file as a permission set and include it in the extension package. The installation of the extension will then add the permission set.
