I have Install MSFT D365 Business Central On-Premise. It Gives Support both C/Al and AL Customization, so I didn't understand why I Used AL if it Supports C/AL for customization.
Is There is Reson for D365 Business Central On-Premise or Cloud.
Thanks in Advance.
AL is new . C/AL code is here for long time. Microsoft is looking forward to go full of AL. Since it has limitation for time being microsoft supports both. Onces the visual code is fully matured C/AL will be totally out of support.
It would take 2-3 years
Thanks for the Reply. I have one issue Doing coding using C/AL in MSFT D365 BC that is work on both Local Client Or Cloud Client ?
AL is the future platform. C/AL is still live for continuity but the plans are to move the codebase to AL in a year or so.
Regarding last question: no, C/AL is not supported in the cloud environment. For SaaS you need to use AL and extensions.
