I was able to install the Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013 Outlook Client (version 22.214.171.1249) on the just released Microsoft Surface Pro 2! I’m running the Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013 for Microsoft Office Outlook with Offline Access. I can go offline and online just fine.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 2 is an excellent option for the traveling professionals that don’t want to carry a full laptop and a tablet. Here are a few things I like about running the Microsoft CRM Outlook Client on the Surface Pro 2:
Please note: Per the Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013 Implementation Guide as of this writing – Microsoft Surface Pro 2 and Windows 8.1 are not listed as supported. So you know what I’d say: For production rollout – only deploy Microsoft CRM on supported platforms! You will have less headaches this way in case you run into issues. Since the Surface Pro 2 was just released – I am pretty sure it will be added to the supported list fairly soon.
