When i choose look up view and reports after starting windows, it triggered properly . After one and half hour, when i choose look up view for search some particular vendor detail and run the report, it showing error. CRM Exception : SQL timeout expired. Give me the solution asap.
What CRM Version do you use?
If onpremise, then please check your Event Viewer Log first.
So, basically it happened after you run the report?
I would say there is something definitely going wrong with your SQL server, I'm guessing this is an on premise deployment
does everything else work ok in CRM
If it's an onpremise deployment I would check the Async services on the CRM server are working
Check the SQL server is working ok and all of the relevant services are working
Finally you need to check the event viewer to check for errors which will hopefully point you in the right direction of the problem
you could extend the SQL OLEDB Timeout Value to test it is an actual timeout and not just a secondary cause of an inability to connect.
but id suggest the following first:
finally if you want to try increasing the OLEDB Timeout value you can find the information here - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/918609
I cant suggest you do this, especially in production, but it would be good for you to test if its an actual connection issue, or a timeout issue.
Hope this helps.
<edit> can you also attach the log file you can download, it may shed some light </edit>
Basically you are not able to run reports via look up view from CRM, are we able to run those reports directly without going via look up ?
Does the timeout error happens all time when running reports or is it intermittent ?
If the timeout happening specific to any one report or all of them ?
If we are not able to run the reports directly from CRM then try running the same report from reporting server if On Premise deployment.
Were you able to run those reports previously ?
