I am in the process of evaluating the dynamics crm 2013 on-line server side synchronization and have a query regard calendar synchronisation. So far I have deployed the server side configuration and have it working for both email and appointments.
When an appointment is created in CRM is syncs to outlook as you would expect. Where I am unsure is should appointments that are created in outlook sync to CRM with the server side sync or does this still rely on the outlook connector?
It's sync appointments with Server side Sync from Microsoft Exchange Server.
Here is the microsoft link it gives more information about server side sync
I have read this is does however not answer my question.
Server side Sync gets the all the information directly from the exchange server and it does not depend on the outlook connector to get appointments.
If an appointment is created in outlook should that sync to CRM? e.g. create the appointment against the required attendee?
Yes it will create appointments in the CRM.
