When the end user clicks on "Track" for a email in Outlook, they get the following error:
An error occurred promoting this item to Microsoft Dynamincs CRM.
I have removed the sync profile and reinstalled but the error continues. I have CRM 2013 SP1 installed on the workstation. Any suggestions on this issue?
Here are a few options:
* You may also ask the user to attempt to "set regarding" rather than just clicking the "track" button. If this works, then it may have something to do with your Exchange settings or the format of the email as the user received it. More information is here: support.microsoft.com/.../2708761
Any resolution to this? Where is your exchange hosted? O365 or somewhere else?
We also have this error starting from today. I am wondering if you have found a solution.
Worked with Microsoft on the issue and apparently they were working on running patches/updates to a bunch of CRM orgs which broke this feature. My client had their server updated last night and tracking seems to be working today. I hope it is the same in your case as well.
Thanks for the information.
This morning ours are also back to normal. and one user said it was back around 11:00pm in the evening. So something must be done on the server side. We are using CRM 2013 online.
Thanks Scott. I have tested all users and everyone is now working.
