We have CRM 2013 SP1 on premise (Win Server 2012 R2) installed and our certificates are based on sha512. We have configured claims based authentication in order to deploy on premise only tablet clients.
Claims based authentication works fine after resolving sha512 support issues. However, tablet client app (ipad) is not able to login (even though ipad based browser works fine). The system event log at the CRM Server shows a TLS 1.2 error:
TLS 1.2 connection request was received from a remote client application,
but none of the cipher suites supported by the client application are
supported by the server. We simulated log in as a tablet client via web browser with a customized url that we found in one of the threads in the forum. This generates the same TLS error. Now we saw that same error before while using IE and other browsers. It was due to the fact that SHA512 was not supported by the Server and the browsers. We resolved it and browsers work fine. Since we obtain the same TLS error whenever we simulate tablet login in a web browser, it would seem that CRM refuses SHA512 TLS connection from tablet clients? Thanks for your help.
Please check if you have IFD configured and working properly.
Have you done CBA (Claim Based Authentication) & IFD (Internet facing Deployment); if not, you will to do it for access over mobile app or tab app
We have done Claim Based Authentication but not IFD. The devices are used inside our intranet only. As per my understanding, IFD is not required is the mobile devices are used within the Intranet only. Android mobile clients are working fine.

Microsoft Dynamics CRM Support.
We configured IFD and tablets started working. Why this is required for intranet access is still a mystery.
