Does anyone know of a built tool that could extract the attachment data and save locally? The environment that I'm migrating from is
I've found code to do so - however, I would prefer a compiled executable that I can just run as I'm not entirely sure how to run these code examples.

Not sure if you have already checked this codeplex solution: crmattachdownload.codeplex.com
If you want to create your won small utility, you should start from this sample code from SDK: msdn.microsoft.com/.../cc151179.aspx
Never mind. 4.0 isn't supported by the tool.
Is the above solution worked ? I also need a solution for crm 4.0 onpremise to to export any file attachments that belongs to specific entity ?
