One of my users is having a problem when using the ‘Set Regarding’ option from Outlook. Basically when the Look Up Record dialog box opens the LOOK FOR field defaults to a custom entity (which is fine) however the LOOK IN field defaults to the ‘Contacts Lookup View’.
This only happens for this particular user and nobody else, what should happen is that the LOOK FOR field should default to the custom entity and the LOOK IN fields should default to one of the views from the custom entity and definitely not the contact entity.
I have no idea why this is happening and the user cannot simply change the LOOK IN view and select a different one as the system does not allow it. The error message that occurs is
‘An error has occurred, Try this action again, if the problem continues check the Microsoft Dynamics community ……….’
Has this user tried on a different machine? Does the same issue happen when accessing the CRM from a browser?
The issue may just be related to a corrupted client, the Outlook Add-in is notoriously finicky and causes random issues on many of our installs.
