We are trying to create a workflow on creation of queue item. I am able to create workflow but the workflow is not triggering. Will system allow workflows execution on Queue item entity.
Is the trigger on create? double check that the workflow is on creation of Queue Item, Set to Real Time & it is set to run at Business Unit Level(the latter just for testing)
We are having the same problem in Version 1710 (126.96.36.1990) September 4th, 2018.
Steps to reproduce problem:
1. Create a workflow for Queue Item that is triggered on Create. use the workflow to send an email to yourself (it will never run so it does not matter what steps you configure here)
2. Add a case to a workflow using the Add to Queue button on the form
3. Click Queue Item Details button on the case form
4. Inspect the background tasks - no workflows started
5. Look at the workflow Process Sessions - no workflow started
6. Look at system jobs - no workflow appears to have started or failed.
I've just created a Flow to be triggered by new Queue Items but it's not responding any new Queue Items in CRM. Looks like the issue still stays?
I have just verified this in my trial instance. And it seems to be working fine.
I added realtime workflow on Queue item create. And in steps I am creating task from workflow when new queue item is created.
Now when I opened any case record and clicked on Add to queue ribbon button then selected queue. I see task is getting created.
Doesn't work for me either. I created a MS Flow using CDS current environment. My trigger is when a Queue Item is Updated. Flow history is empty. It never runs. I'm using "Pick" on the queue item, which does update the record, but the Flow doesn't run. There's definitely an issue here. I guess i'll open a support ticket with MS
Looks like there is definitely an issue with Flow/Workflow to be triggered by Queue Items. I've logged a ticket with Microsoft support team and this is being looked at. Will share outcome when there is.
Ha, I also have a support ticket open with MS for this.
What's interesting is, this does work on some instances. We'll soon find out what prevents it from working.
