When setting up a new game with a Game Model of No Teams and using Targets, when I get to the section to add metrics, provide a name, a Metric Feed and select Number of as the measurement option. I enter values for all 6 target values.
When I click on the checkbox to Use Equal Weight, there are no values that appear to show the equal weight. In playing with the software, when I marked the checkbox the first time, then marked the checkbox to Input your Own Points, and then deselected it, the weighted points disappeared and would not appear even when I attempted to create new games.
Also, I forgot to add that if I choose to use my own points, I cannot click the Next button to continue to setup a game. If I try to Start Over, no matter what I select, it won't let me set metrics and move forward in setting up games.
I continued to test trying to create new games and I cannot create any new games. Regardless of the Game Model or Metric Type, It will not allow me to move past the Sales Metric. I even went into the CRM environment to see if were any Metric Feeds, but it was blank. There is a default Metric feed in the drop down
Have you setup your metric feed first in CRM? Click on New Metric in metric feed of CRM, then once you have saved new metric, refresh page of FST web app and you will be able to select new metric. In screenshot above, you entered point values for metric but did not select a metric so that is why you received message. Please setup metrics first in CRM, then let me know if you are still experiencing issue with points not saving within game setup. Please review instructions for metric setup here if needed: community.dynamics.com/.../209238
Thank you for the quick reply. I did do some more research, created several Metric Feeds in CRM.
Clicked the Start Over for Game Setup and created a new Game - used Fantasy Teams as the Model and Target metric:
Create the Sales Metrics:
and when I click the Next button, nothing happens. I cannot move forward to finish setting up the game. If I close the browser, click the Game Setup again, the existing game I was trying to create is still there and it will not let me move forward, even if I try to Start Over. Tried this multiple times, different metrics.
Anything else to try?
You are correct. I have investigated and yes, there is an issue where you cannot move forward in game setup even though all required fields are complete. I will reach out to dev team and notify you once resolved. Thank you for your patience.
I really appreciate the quick follow-up regarding the issue. I would greatly appreciate any updates as I am working with the Content team to produce the the eLearning Content for the Fall Release of Dynamics 365 and FantasySalesTeam is part of the content. We go to Studio to start recording the Content the week of Nov 7th. Also, I noticed there are some minor changes between the version regarding functionality. Is there a 'What's New' document that outlines some of the changes?
Again, I appreciate your quick response and help so far!
I will reach out to you directly.
I was working with the Fantasy Sales again using the same trial instance and I was able to create a new game but once I start clicking around and starting over with creating a new game and switching between ACTUAL and TARGET, I am still experiencing the same issue of not being able to move past the Metrics setup, even though I have a Metric Feed setup and mark the checkbox to use Equal Weight.
It was working and now it is not again. I am not sure what I am doing to cause it to lock, but I need to be able to work before next week.
Yes, we are aware of issue when using targets while using Internet Explorer. This will not be an issue when we go live so development team is unable to fix in preview accounts now. But while you are waiting for release, you should be able to successfully setup/save metrics while using another internet browser.
Could you contact me directly at email@example.com to discuss alternatives for using IE or Microsoft Edge?
Tina, as a quick follow-up, I tried to use Microsoft Edge, Chrome, as well as Safari and still cannot move past creating a game with Targets.
I will reopen ticket and see if possible to have resolved before GA release. I will contact you directly once I hear back .
Is there a way to remove users that were imported into a different instance of CRM Online? I have the same commissioners setup for different CRM Online instances and it will not let me import the users, but they don't show up in the current instance either.
Is there a way to clean it up so the users can be imported into a new instance?
If you have a few duplicate users (commissioners), then I can edit their email addresses so you can import them with valid email address. I will reach directly to get contact info.
