I have a pricelist items which has been exported to an Excell file whcih has column name Product, Unit and Amount. Then I have created a new Price list named P2017.
How can I import back my exported Items into P2017 ?
Could not find the way to do
thnaks for help
Check this article - survivingcrm.com/.../working-price-list-items-dynamics-crm
This link does not give me the solution except buying a tool.
I simply would like to copy or clone a source pricelist items into a new one.
In addition all post I find out are not describe anything about crm2016 most of post are for old version
Any other idea?
The below will work for you and also thanks to Aileen too
For new price list item you can use data import template, settings-> Data management -> Templates for data import -> Price List item.
I have try what you suggest but the problem I met is that in the pricelist items I have expirted to excel, i have no field which refer to the price list I need to import into.
So i guess I should select first in which price list I want to import item into but how?
In excell file I have no column for pricelist name.
Can you clarify the export and import process step by step to see if I have done something wrong?
An other thing I can not see in excell file I have exported is the peicz of each items?
Hi Please refer the below linkcommunity.dynamics.com/.../working-with-price-list-items-in-dynamics-crmwww.microsoft.com/.../importpricelist.aspx
I have check all this in this link already but it is based on CMR 2013 and CRM 2016 doe snot have most of menu reference mentionned in this link.
so what to do ?
Sounds crazy to spend so many energy for export and re import someting so basic as a pricelist items. For us we have only 500 records I would say but imagine those we have much more !
Any other solution ?
I have tried the below steps and it is working as expected.
Step:1 I have pricelist called mobile and have pricelist item Iphone and its cost 20000
Click the associated view of pricelist item
change product price list-products view and export pricelist
Create a new price list called mobile2017
Open the exported excel file and change the pricelist name as mobile2017
Create a new PriceList in CRM and add a column in Price List Items Excel with the Price List and use the same when importing. Map it to Price List on Price List Item entity.
Please unhide the first three column before importing otherwise, Pricelist item data are updated
Sorry saad do not understand what you mean
I do not have same interface as you in my CRM
First of all, I do not have anyway to modify the PriceListItem view, I do not have any menu or button available for that
Next my Amount field is empty because we are using % of MarginCost for price calculation
So what to do if I cannot modified the view as you mentionned ?
My CRM version is : CRM Online 2016 Update (126.96.36.1999) (DB 188.8.131.528)
Sorry saad do not understand what you mean
Add a new Column Price List to you Excel and Your New Excel File will look like this:
Import this file in Product List items entity and map Price List Column to Price List field on Price List Items entity.
Hi To select the different pls follow below
I have repeat same opezration as you mention and then add a field name 2017 Price list which alos exist in my CRM as my new price list.
Then during the import, it says import successfull with the number of exported items, but if I get back to my 2016 price list and check if my ProductItems has been inserted, nothing is visible my list is definitly empty.
When I check the import report, it has perform an Update operation and never insert new items. and as all my items are new they did not get imported
What is going on ?
What do you mean by Unhide first 3 column before importing ?
When I open the exported Excell file, all 3 columns are visible and not hidden. or do you mean to hide them ?
I discover that the only way to get ride of the percentage format error, was only to set the language of my personnal profile in CRM to English-US. Without this it fails all time
Have no explaination why except default CRM language.
Usually in the column Starts with A but when you are exported price list item from CRM first 3 column are hide then column header start with D, E, F
You have to unhide the A,B,C column and remove the guid value of those column
Your column header name has duplicate. Please find the attachment It has two files.1)export from pricelist item
2)After export I unhide it
No after you un-hide the column. You have to delete the GUID value in A,B,C and import it.
Please see my above post 2nd image, After I have deleted the GUID value the excel looks like above
The same thing is working for me. Could you please share your excel
In your 5th screen, you have deleted column name. Column name should not be deleted. or could you please share you excel through onedrive or google.
Could you please explain, How do you solve previous import issue?
