How to stop the CRM Plugin from linking everything in the outlook with the CRM? I already deactivated the synchronization in the 365 diagnostic (unchecked everything) but the e-mail messages from our company leader are still getting linked in the CRM. This is not wanted. ONLY if they link it by themselves with the button.
What is the behavior set in the user's personal options? Under Personal Options -> Email -> Select the email messages to track in Microsoft Dynamics 365.
This should not be set to "All emails" unless you want all e-mails to be tracked.
thanks for your answer. The settings are:
Personal Options: "Email messages in response to Dynamics 365 email"
The global system settings:
- Incoming: Server-side or email router
- Outgoing: Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Outlook
- Appointments, Contacts,...: Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Outlook
Do I need to change the personal option settings to "Email messages from Dynamics 365 records that are email enabled"?
I am investigating the same issue. What i have noticed is that the tracked emails are being created by the "SYSTEM " user - Use Advanced Find and check "CREATED BY". If its the same with you, this is the outlook App because it doesn't stamp tracked emails using the executing user.
You then need to go to Settings > Dynamics App For Outlook and see if this is not being auto installed for your users.
That's where i got to with my investigation.. I hope it gets you somewhere, still looking for the solution myself.
Is there a way to uninstall the App for all users ? Do you know ?
The way to stop Server Side Synchronization to track all your emails is to change the user-level setting as mentioned in one of the comments here. If you want to take the "All email messages" option out of the dropdown altogether, you can use the OrgDBORgSetting "HideTrackAllOption" listed at support.microsoft.com/.../orgdborgsettings-tool-for-microsoft-dynamics-crm
I'm really sorry for my late response. You can set all settings of the user by using the XrmToolBox. There is a plugin called "User Settings Utility". I changed the setting to "Email messages from CRM records that are email enabled", and hope that no more (untracked) E-Mails will be synced to the CRM. Thanks to all for their help.
