In my phone call, I am having one custom lookup field. I want in that custom entity the phone call would be present in activity view.
So if i am adding that custom entity in "Regarding" it is visible. But I don't want to change regarding other than customer as I have some dependent workflow related to the regarding field.
So i got below options:
1) save the customer value in another field, and keep the custom entity in regarding field-> but it is re-work
2) Make regarding as multi-select lookup -> Unsupported type
3) Create another same activity and make the custom entity as the regarding - Duplicate data
Is there any better way to resolve this issue?
The Activity view can only show fields that are in the activitypointer entity, and this entity is not customisable. There is no perfect solution to this; if the behaviour in the activity view is more important than the workflow logic, then option 1 is probably best.
A couple of other options:
Thanks @David Jennaway for your response.
I tried for Posts, but again neither i can create a post for custom entity nor i can filter post
