Please can you help me with a business rule, I’m trying to update the record owner field with another field called Manager on the Account entity.
CONDITION- if Manager field contains data
THEN - Set Default Value New Action
Field = Owner
Type = Field
Field = Manager
Basically the owner of the record that is the person who created the account is generally always an admin person and can be different than the Manager, I need the owner to reflect the Manager. I’ve also tried using a workflow but cannot see the Owner field on the account form so am unable to map it to the Manager field.
Firstly you can add the field Owner on the Entity Form. Maybe it is better to add by the header section. I try it with Business Rule it is working fine.
Hereby I add my solution. I add also "else" stage, if you need the delete manager field or if it is empty. When you create a business rule take care that it is activated.
Thank you, that worked.
