I have a requirement that in the "Look up Record Dialog" , we need two entities in "look for" field .
Kindly suggest me.
What type of entities is it? If you're looking for account and contact you can create "Customer" type field.
Unfortunately custom lookup field could not contain multi entities. Only some OOB fields like primairy account in Account entity contains "account" and "contact" records. This is by design :-(.
I also tried many development ways like using "setEntityTypes", "addCustomViews" to lookup field but all failed cause if the entity paramter that I passed the the method is not the related entity of the lookup field, the system will give an error of "invalid entity type".
So we have to use the little clumsy method that add multi lookup fields on the form.
You could also raise an idea to Microsoft Product Team about this situation.
Hope it helps.
For, Custom Entities..
Whatever custom entities or default entities, lookup field could not contain multi entites.
You can build a Custom Lookup control to have that functionality.
