Why does CRM Task 'completed by'-person name change to me when I assign contact to new owner ?
Is there way to stop this ?
This is due to the cascading rules on the relationship between Contact and Task. I expect it is set to 'Cascade All'. You can change this to Referential or Referential Restrict Delete to stop the ownership change from cascading to the task
It depends on the requirement here, if it is just Assign cascading issue, then go to "Contact_Tasks" relation of Contact and change the "Type of Behavior" from "Parental" to "Configurable Cascading" and update the "Assign" from "Cascade All" to "Cascade None".
Note: Assumed that the type of behavior was as-is.
