I reviewed the trail of slow time line performance, the last message was on 30th of jan 2020, I don't see any update, comments what the root cause is and how it can be resolved.
Could you be more specific? What update are you expecting?

Timeline is very slow for us too, it takes 30 seconds to load. Any update on this issue?
Well, around end of Nov 2019, there was a trending issue that end user might see below error in the Timeline control.
But that issue has been mitigated globally around Dec 4th 2019, and all admin should have been informed in the Office 365 Message Center.
I'm not aware of any new timeline issue now. Please feel free to raise a support ticket, so Microsoft can work with you on it.
