Hi Experts, I'm trying to trigger a flow on update of contact. But I will need to check couple of trigger conditions for it to trigger. I will need to verify some fields on Parent Account record. Was hoping if anyone can provide some examples where lookup field entity fields are used in trigger condition or also odata filter. Thanks in Advance
I don't think you can specify additional trigger condition on the Uodate action. The easiest way is to check the condition within the flow. Refer the below blog which has something similar i.e. the flow trieggered and then check the condition to trigger the flow or not.
Hope this help.
Hi Kashyap, that is not true. Power Automate now allows filter query and also trigger conditions in the settings. I was able to create simple queries for flow but haven't tried something like checking for fields on Triggered entity's lookup field record.
Can you try filtering based on related records by combining the odata query methods from below,https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/developer/common-data-service/webapi/query-data-web-api#filter-parent-records-based-on-values-of-child-recordsand then, apply that as filter field in the trigger?
