I have a requirement to change the Label of a field present on the quick create form. It is like when a user click Close as Lost button in opportunity the 'Sale Date' label in the quick create form - 'Opportunity Close' should show 'Lost Date'. And when the user clicks Close as Won button the 'sale date' label in the quick create form should show 'Win Date'.
We are using the same quick create form- 'Opportunity Close' for both Close as Won and Close As Lost.
Can you guide me this. How to approach?
Anyone found any solution n this
Please share a screenshot of your actual quick create form, thank you !
Thanks for your reply. This is the screenshot of quick create form which i am referring for both close as lost and close as won button.
Correction: Instead of 'sale date' i have to change the label of 'Win Date' . When clicked 'Close as lost' ribbon button on opportunity ,Win date label in opportunity close quick create form should show 'Lose Date' and when clicked 'Close as Won' Win date label should show 'Win Date'.. Thank you.
I think you can change the label with a JS code depending on the context of the closure of your opportunity. Don't hesitate to ask if you need more details about the implementation
Thanks for your guidance. But i have one question if we write a js code on Close as Lost button and implement it through Ribbon Workbench in the opportunity form, It will take context as opportunity not opportunity close . So how can i access Win Date Label with opportunity context. Ya if you could show the implementation it will be helpful..
Please refer to my sample code:
var formContext = executionContext.getFormContext();
var pageContext = Xrm.Utility.getPageContext();
var isWon = pageContext.input.data.param_won;
if(isWon) formContext.getControl('actualend').setLabel('Win date');
else formContext.getControl('actualend').setLabel('Lose date');
Also, this function needs to be executed when loading the OpportunityClose entity's quick creation form.
Thanks Mehdi..That really helped me solve my problem and also came to know about the concept .getPageContext().
