When ever field changes happened on specific Contacts out the available one. We want to trigger the notification to required internal users.
We created out of the box workflow to achieve this. But how to attach this works flow to run only on set of required Contacts from all the available in system.
If there are less contacts then you can just add some conditions which will compare phone number, email id, or Full name.
If it is more contacts then you can do this using customizations.
Our system contains more than 20000 contact records.
Out of this we want the alert to be triggered only if updates happened on any of the required contacts out of all.
How you will identify the contacts which you are looking for?
Does it have any field which can act as a flag?
Also what type of notification you are looking for? Like email, post, etc.
For each contact, our system generates one unique Contact ID. Out of all contacts, we have around 200 such contacts. For which we need to trigger Email alert for certain CRM users with details of update happened for respective contact. upon any update happens on fields like., Email Id, Mobile phone or Name etc. such available fields of contact entity.
Then you can create any below solution as per your need.
1. Power automate flow which will trigger when target fields will change.
2. Workflow activity.
Please also let me know what do you mean by the "notifications" Because there are many things which are Associated as notification in CRM.
If possible. We are looking right now to achieve this with out any custom options by utilizing the Workflow option that can be created in CRM. Without writing any custom Workflow, Plugin etc.
For triggering Email notification with the list of required contacts if any gets updated by various different users.
I guess then you will have to add a field which can used as a flag. If this field is yes and any above mentioned fields will change then you can create your notifications....this will be the option if you don't want to go ahead with the Custom options.
Also who will be added in the email?
Because there are limitations w.r.t workflow when u want to add any dynamic recipient.
If you need less limitations which are associated with workflow then you can use power automate, it will be best solution.
We will add list of required internal CRM users to this email notification list. Our application is intranet, we don't have power automate as of now.
