I have a Sub grid on a form. I make changes to the grid rows and then save the grid. This looks correct.
When I save the parent form it overwrites the grid row changes with the original data.
Everything I have read says that the sub grid is unaffected by the parent save and this seems to be untrue.
Running debug shows an update request with the original data.
I have to assume they have added this functionality and it is buggy.
Anyone else experience this.
This is not the issue with the editable grid. It is something that triggers that change/update. Check form trigger with other riggers.
The only thing I am doing is using the out of box Grid save and the form save. The form save triggers an update of the grid with cached data. This is also an out of the box function as I have not added anything to do this. I believe this to be a bug.
I love to see that code so that I can comment on it.
There is no code it’s all out of the box functionality. I’m running the latest update from Microsoft.
I would suggest to create support ticket for the same.
Looks like I have egg on my face. There was an HTML WEB Resource that was monitoring the page save and firing it's own save of the entity with data that hadn't been updated. Hard to find because it wasn't in any events.
