I've used the 30min trial to test the Social Engagement functionalities and it's really great.
I realise that the Trial User has Reader access only and from the Help files, I can see that the Responder and Manager roles can 'create' posts through the Engage on a Post permission:
Manage social profiles
Edit labels on posts
Edit post assignments
Engage on a post
However, what I want to know, is whether one can create a brand new social network post (not private/direct message) and then post it on the configured/associated social networks.
Thanks very much.
The social engagement tool is used to manage social media posts about your brand and to understand how individuals or companies are speaking about your brand. You can reply to current tweets and facebook posts but cannot post or schedule a new social media post.
In Dynamics Marketing, you have the capabilities to post out to facebook and twitter as well as schedule your post for future dates and times.
Hope this helps,
James M. Bowen
Thanks James - appreciate the feedback.
I've setup a MDM trial and could see the functionality to create posts to Facebook and Twitter from there.
