Hello

Completely new to power pages. I have been handed over this power pages site and need some help configuring it.

We have a Contact us page with a basic contact form which needs to be viewed by all visitors but currently it displays a message "You don't have the appropriate permissions."

I have no clue as to where I should assign permissions, please help

Best Regards

    Hi There,

Follow these steps to assign permission:

Go to power pages management application and from the sitemap select Table permission then select New from the command bar

This will open up a new table permission form. Select the table which in your case will be contact, specify the website and select the privileges you like (read, write etc). once done select save.

The on the same form scroll down and under web role subgrid select add existing role. This will open up the list of lookup records. select what webroles you need like administrator, authenticated user, anonymous user etc. once done select save.

Go back to your power pages studio and select sync and then preview , you should be good .

    Thanks
    Affan

That's right. This issue typically occurs if the contact lacks the necessary permissions on the relevant entity. By assigning a web role with access to these tables or forms, it should work properly for them.

You can manage page permissions in Power Pages using the Power Pages design studio. Here's a step-by-step guide:

     1. Sign in to Power Pages and open your site for editing.
     2. Select the ellipsis (...) to the right of the "Contact Us" page and select "Page Settings".
     3. Select the "Permissions" tab.
     4. You'll see options to configure who can view this page. There you can grant access to specific web roles (like 'Authenticated Users')

Please refer below article for more details.
