Regarding lead qualifing

Hi,

 

I would like to confirm what activities (such as notes, meetings, tasks, phone calls, emails, and appointments) are carried over from a Lead to an Opportunity when a Lead is qualified.

 

In my current system, I notice that only notes are being transferred from the Lead to the Opportunity. Could you please confirm if this is the expected behavior or if, by default, all these activities should be moved over during lead qualification?

    This is the expected and standard behavior when qualifying a lead, and for all stages of the sales process (Lead to Opportunity, Opportunity to Quote, Quote to Order, etc.). Notes will move, but activity records will remain with the original linked record.
     
    Note that default behavior is also that activity records linked to the sales process will all roll-up to the Contact/Account, so if you want to meet this requirement and bring over activities you want to move them instead of copying them, as then you will have duplicate activity records clogging up your customer timelines.

    If you want activities to move from Lead to Opportunity (or Contact/Account), you must:
    1. Customize the lead qualification process via:
      • A custom plugin
      • A Power Automate flow
      • Or use third-party solutions
    2. Alternatively, use custom workflows/plugins to reassign activities' regardingobjectid to the Opportunity.
