[Resolved] Financial Reporting not visible in JapanWest UDE environments

Hi everyone,

I would like to share a recent experience that may help other Dynamics 365 Finance users.

Issue
-------
Financial Reporting was not available in our UDE environments located in the JapanWest region.

Although Microsoft announced that Financial Reporting can be installed in UDE environments through PPAC, the application was not visible in Dynamics 365 Apps and could not be found in the Install App list.

Investigation
-------------
- Financial Reporting was not installed.
- The application was not available from the PPAC Install App experience.
- The issue affected multiple environments in the same region.

Resolution
----------
After opening a Microsoft Support ticket, Microsoft confirmed that availability may differ by region.

The support engineer manually triggered the Financial Reporting installation for our environments.

Result
------
After the installation completed:

✅ Financial Reports workspace became available

✅ Default report definitions were initialized successfully

✅ Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow and other standard reports became available

Takeaway
--------
If Financial Reporting is not visible in a UDE environment, it may not necessarily be a permissions or configuration issue.

Regional availability may also be a factor, and contacting Microsoft Support could help resolve the issue.
