Cluttered Global Search due to Duplicate Leads

My company has leads duplicate as expressions of interest and all link to a singular contact. However, sometimes the lead will come through with incorrect information and duplicate contacts are created with the same name but different emails. This causes issues in the Global Search as this is an example of what would be seen:

Are there suggestions on how the Global Search can be changed to show recently interacted with Lead and Contact versus all lead and contacts. I am open to other experiences as well that companies have used to make this better.

Cluttered Global Search due to Duplicate Leads

Hi There,

I would suggest instead of using Global search go with Advanced find and create a query.

Once you get the results you can filter that as well.
