Cascading Relationship Behaviour for Activities is locked to "System" and not editable

Posted on by
Hi,

When reassigning an Account to a new Account Owner, I don't want any existing related activity records such as email, appointment, task, phone call to also get re-assigned to the new account owner.

I've gone into the relationships for Account and looked for the relationships to these activity records, clicked on Advanced Options but there's no option to edit the "Type of Behavior" field - it is locked to "System".

Doing a google, it looks like historically this could be edited and there's no reference to "System" as a Relationship Type of Behavior" - has this changed or am I missing a setting somewhere else in Dynamics?

Edit: the forum seems to be corrupting the attached screenshot, but you should be able to make out what it's showing.

I've found the XRMToolbox tool "Activity Cascade Rules" which has allowed me to update these relationships through the back end - but still a bit bemused that I seemingly can't update them through the front end.
Please let me know if you can and I've just missed it...
