Hello,
How can I merge a lead to an existing contact? Many contacts have signed up using a personal email thus creating a new lead. There are processes in place that catch duplicate emails, but as this is a new email it is not catching it.

You merger leads to contacts using the duplication detection rules.
You just need to add all the required fields to compare/match on the critiria list

You can use duplicate detection rules to identify duplicates between leads and contacts, as per the previous post.
However, if you want to merge field values from a lead into a contact, you'll have to first qualify the lead into a new contact, then merge that contact with the existing contact (which will deactivate the newly created contact)
