Hello MS Community,

I just want to first mention that I'm an end-user, and don't know too much of the very technical lingo but I will do my best to understand.

Does anyone know when doing a Lot to Lot transfer (mainly done in the inventory movement journal)) of a same item, why does the cost of Lot 1 being transferred gets overwritten by Lot 2 costs? We are trying to keep the cost of the lot that same as it gets transferred to keep costs accurate. For example, Lot 1 is $0.05/unit and Lot 2 is $0.08/unit so when Lot 1 transfers to Lot 2 the cost gets changed to $0.08/unit. How can we adjust and keep costs the same, and what process is the best way of doing these lot to lot transfers?
