I need your guidance on a D365 Finance & Operations go-live scenario. We have a customer who is migrating from AX 2012 to D365 Finance & Operations. They are a project-based organization and have decided to proceed with a re-implementation, meaning they will not migrate historical project transactions.
In this context, we need to understand:Any guidance, standard approaches, or practical implementation experience would be greatly appreciated . Thank you in advance.
How can in-progress projects be migrated from AX 2012 to D365 F&O? where i have create the project and project contract, not sure how to bring the project budgets, here the customer is not following the WBS only project budget were monitored.
How can the remaining project budget balances be brought into D365, so that budgets reflect the same remaining values as in AX 2012? is there any option to load this project budget balance and commitment in D365 via DMF
Is it possible to migrate or recreate project commitments (such as open purchase orders and budget reservations) to ensure budget consumption and availability remain accurate after go-live?
What is the recommended approach or best practice in D365 to achieve this without historical transactions?
