TAX declaration Belgium - possible to create extra conditions which are not standard available?

Posted on by 6
Hello everyone

Currently we are setting up the TAX configuration for a client in Belgium, most of the sales tax codes have been covered by the conditions, which can be selected in de 'Lookup result' of the 'Application specific parameters'. But according to the local tax expert there are conditions (+10) missing. For example, they use a sales tax code 'VEU IS0', which means 'European Vendor Investement Services 0%'.

We have used the following condition for this sales tax code, but according to the local tax expert the VAT declaration is not correct because the box 86 can't be filled in because of the 0%.

I understand why the box 86 should be empty, because on the top it states 'Operations (amount excluding VAT) for which the declarant is obliged to pay the VAT'.

What they want as 'Lookup result' is the following, but that's not available to select as a 'Lookup result', is there a possiblity to create this, or how should we resolve this?

Thank you very much for the help.

Kind regards
Joachim De Wannemaeker

    Hi,
You can evaluate to mapping this tax code to "Other" if there is no need to declare this code in the report.
If yes, I recommend to create a support ticket for Microsoft so they can troubleshoot the issue better.

    Dear André

Thank you for your swift response, sorry for the late response.

It can be found in the 'Reporting configurations', Organization administration > Workspaces > Electronic reporting, then the setup of the application specific parameters of the format.

You select the '$ReportFieldLookup' ==> fasttab 'Lookups', and you will see the column 'Lookup result' ==> fasttab 'Conditions'.

In the meantime we are thinking about contacting Microsoft itself because it's a legal requirement for Belgian VAT, and it's missing in the standard localization of Belgium. It seems like other customers in Belgium have the same problem.

    Kind regards

    Hi Joachim,

Setting up the Belgian Sales Tax is hard with all boxes and conditions. It was a long time ago for me once I was involved in a Belgian roll-out. Can you share a screenshot of what you call "Lookup result" from a page in Dynamics 365 Finance?
