Allow "Register Downtime" - Production Floor Execution

Hello everyone, I’m working with D365 Dynamics F&O and need some guidance.

How can I enable the Register Downtime button in the Production Floor Execution module?

The goal is to track machine downtime with a reason, such as a machine stopping due to a lack of materials.

I believe the correct button to use is Register Downtime rather than Break, but it’s currently disabled, and I’m not sure how to activate it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Sounds good, and hey no worries! We resolved it, that's all that matters 😊
If it's okay, can you check my reply as an answer?

No, not out of the box (speaking of production and route job, don't want to confuse with an asset work order). I don't recall having seen this, and I cannot see that it's done looking at the code that's responsible for assets.

    Hello,

Thank you very much for your response, and I apologize for any language issues.

I now understand that the downtime is linked to a machine, so I added the Machine tab, and I can successfully register the downtime on the machine set as an Asset.

I have a follow-up question: Is it possible to link the downtime to the Work Order (specifically, the fabrication work order associated with the job that was active at the time of the downtime)?

Thank you in advance for your help!

    Hi JeanB,

Downtime is registered on the machine, not the job, which might indicate a missing link to asset management.
Unfortunately, I don’t read French, so I’m unable to understand the captions on the two tabs in the form. Could you provide an English translation?
