Hi all,

I have a Multiline of text field and I am using the (OOB)Rich Text Format for this field, this is working fine but after setting the value first time when i am trying to remove the value from rich text field and checking the same field in the view then it is behaving like the field still contains data.
As I have checked the Audit history and observed that behind the seen there is some HTML tags but not showing on front end side and that's why the field is showing under the view(where the filter criteria is rich text editor is null) .

In this SS, this "IC Discussion Themes" is a rich text editor field and it does not contains any data but still showing under the view, bcz behind the seen there is some HTML tags in this field.

Is there any way to tackle it??

I think this is the default behavior of the Rich text editor fields.

When you add any text to rich text editor field for example "test string", behind the scenes the value is stored with HTML tags like follows

    <div>test string</div>

When you wipe out the value, the string gets removed however html formatting still gets retained in field.

This blog may give you some hint where they are validating the rich text field.
