We went live on D365 in October 2023. We have had many challenges relating to the number of legal entities we have. We are looking to connect with another company that has ~100 or more legal entities so we can share some of our challenges and hopefully gain insight.

    Hi
    There are different approaches to solving such challenges. In our case, we use the OOB functionality for company groups in D365FO, along with a Power BI dashboard tailored for each company group and region. This setup ensures consolidated data in a single report while meeting specific business requirements.

    - credit memos to other LE's

    Mainly our challenges are around reporting, most OOB reports are legal entity specific and the way we manage the business is a group of LE's rollup to a region so the individuals want see the data for all entities at once. We have several datalakes that help (Financial, AR, AP). Also, certain processes and entries where again an individual is managing multiple entities.
